Today, at Chowgule and Company - Shipbuilding Division's newly acquired Mangaluru shipyard, a chapter began with the launch of C 311 ‘Frisian Future’, the very first vessel from our series of 8,500 DWT ships built for Boomsma Shipping. This moment isn’t just about launching, it’s about ideas taking shape, precision meeting purpose and a facility designed for tomorrow proving its mettle today.
Their Mangaluru yard stands equipped with advanced technology, skilled hands and uncompromising safety standards. And yes, we carried forward the drop launch method—a rare practice in India, just as Chwogule and Company do in Goa. With one vessel down, and many more to go. The horizon looks promising and Chowgule and Company are steering toward it with intent.
They congratulations the entire team whose hard work made this possible, all stakeholders associated directly or indirectly and most importantly to Boomsma Shipping for placing their trust in Chowgule and Company.
The 'Frisian Future' - according to Rahul Manavalan of design and engineering - embodies their commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, and sets a new standard in maritime excellence.
They extend their special thanks to the Sastech team, our Launching Consultants, who guided Chowgule and Company every step of the way. Their expertise and guidance were instrumental in making this project a success.
This launch was truly a first-of-its-kind, with the vessel being dropped from a height of 2.65 meters - a feat never attempted before in any yard. We're proud to have pushed the boundaries of innovation and achieved this remarkable milestone.
